I give people too much power. I need to hold on to some of that shit.

So that next time I will have fireworks in my eyes instead of sparkles. I've seen myself be this intimidating. It was completely unprecedented. So much so that it intimidated me. And then I got what I wanted. I'll never get used to that, but I'll allow it for now:)

This is an illustration of what my brain has been showing me on average as of 8:30 this morning. What is this? I'm over-excited about something, I think. I'm normally capable of making more sense, especially in the morning. But I'll allow it for now:)

Also, this song. And video. And artist. And Prince. It's not a name. You don't say it. You just look at it:)

Have you ever been using three different types of media at once(i.e. phone, tv, computer) and they all start to act up at the same time? It's fascinating. Makes me want to climb a tree. On that note I think I'll go sledding now:)

Monty Python Appreciation Day
According to me, at least. In honor of today, I gift you with this! Monty Python silly walk generator from the famous Ministry of Silly Walks sketch. I recommend you go watch it now, even if you have seen it a thousand times before. You will giggle. It will be a deep giggle. You will feel it in your belly. This is a good giggle:)

CocoRosie - Fairy Paradise

I feel so silly. I've just started this blog and I cannot for the life of me think of anything to write about lately. I could force it-but I'm afraid I'll just read it later and feel like I made up some stuff and tried my best to put it eloquently and...that's gross...and not me.
So..this is obviously a MUUUSIICC BLOOOGGG DAAAAY!! I will post some of my favorite artists. It's easy on me, and gives you a chance to get to know me a little better and hopefully hear something new and beautiful(lucky beans:P)!

First, you will see Fairy Paradise by CocoRosie. I've loved them for so long. They are sisters who were split up and found eachother in Paris. Seirra(the one playing the harp) trained to be an opera singer in Paris while Bianca(the one who sings the majority of the song) spent that time with her Native American father. They got together, took some drugs religiously, and made some of the best music I've ever heard.

Next, is Needle In The Hay by Elliott Smith. The song is obviously very good, but I mostly posted this clip as a follow up to my earlier post. Just an example of the imagery I cannot get out of my head lately. This clip is from The Royal Tennenbaums. I know it's bleak and maybe a little disturbing, but it's so very beautiful too!(Luke Wilson is also very nice to look at(you're welcome))....and it's my 3rd most favorite scene in cinematic history. Maybe I'll share my first two favorites with you in my next post:) ENJOY!

I've been on a film kick lately. Not just good films. Not just artistic films. But visually interesting films. I think it's because I'm ready to redecorate my home. I've been ignoring my craving for outward inspiration lately as I've been so busy with a new job and having to cram more practical thoughts into my head....however, everyday after I've come home from work I've been putting in a Wes Anderson film. I think this is me forcing myself to take in some extra visual indulgences here and there so that I may keep a full imagination while the rest of my brain works on learning more.....ugly things(retaaaaiil). I like that about me. Anyhow, I've watched every Wes Anderson film more than once, and some around 4 times(I <3 you Richie Tennenbaum). I feel like I need to watch some Eastern films next. My next stop is obviously Bollywood, it only seems fitting after a week of Anderson and The Beatles. Hopefully Friday night will be for candy and movies with my best friend. What are some beautiful Bollywood films that I should not go without watching?

On another note, today is my brother's birthday. Happy Birthday, Beau. I love you. I miss you. Sometimes I think I need you. But always I'm thankful you were here long enough for me to learn who you are. Because who you are is WONDERFUL! We all are. Thank you, mom:)

I love my friends. I love my family. I love my boyfriend. I love my cat. I love my mind. I love my life! Life is wonderful! Talk to you soon:)
